  • State Sen. Laura Murphy (D-28) has launched her annual holiday card drive to lift the spirits of long-term care residents; community members may mail or drop off cards at her office by Friday, Dec. 12.  Journal & Topics Media Group
  • Students at Saint Viator High School in Arlington Heights and other Chicago area high schools donated nearly 1,000 toys to the CBS News Chicago toy drive trolley on Thursday morning—gifts that will be sent to Walt Whitman and the Soul Children of Chicago for their upcoming Soul Santa Village holiday event later this month.  CBS News Chicago

EDUCATION NEWS

  • District 21 + Indian Trails Public Library partnered to deliver over 1,100 library cards to students through a pilot program at three schools during the 2024-2025 school year, aiming to improve access to learning resources across the district.  Journal & Topics Media Group
