A storm on Wednesday, June 10 left about 2000 residents without power in Arlington Heights when trees fell on five ComEd lines and 75 damage calls were made. Public Works workers cleared 29 blocked streets that day, although cleanup of debris will take about a week.

Ernie Rose from Touchdown Arlington urged a special session in Springfield to help keep the Bears in Arlington Heights after the team announced plans last Friday for a new stadium project in Hammond, Indiana. Local officials remain set to redevelop the 326-acre former race track site.
Overnight ramp closures and detours are planned this month on eastbound I-90 to install tolling equipment and improve traffic flow; on Monday, June 8, the ramp from eastbound I-90 to southbound Route 53 will close at 8 p.m. and reopen at 5 a.m. Tuesday, June 9.
