Arlington Heights trustees reviewed plans for a pedestrian-friendly, curbless street on Vail Avenue that would also update Harmony Park—changes include a new median, seating, and safer crosswalks.
Some trustees expressed concerns about the $4.4M cost and funding gaps, which may delay phase two engineering and future construction in 2027.
The Arlington Heights Village Board approved a 5% tax on streaming services on August 19—officials said the new funds will pay for a new ambulance and paramedic staffing after losing revenue when people switched from cable.
