  • The Arlington Heights Park District invites community members to Rec & Roll Back in Time at Recreation Pool on E.   • Eight talented musicians from Chicagoland, including Arlington Heights’ Grace Fuller, spent two weeks in Door County studying at Birch Creek Music Performance Center—part of a prestigious summer music academy—and performed eight concerts with leading jazz instructors.   • Kokandy Productions revives the musical 'Amélie' — a tribute to kindness and connection — at Chicago’s Chopin Theatre until Sept. 28.   • Hersey High School revamped its main foyer with a $6.3 million renovation that started last Thanksgiving and was marked by a ribbon-cut on Wednesday—creating new student services, offices, and a coffee shop in the former principal's office.
