🏥 Health
Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights is partnering with the Alzheimer’s Association Illinois Chapter to host a free educational series in honor of Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month that will offer brain health strategies at sessions on May 15 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and on June 19 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.; the events will share updates on new treatment approaches & support for families while inviting the community to join a Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Sept. 21.
🏈 Sports
Boys tennis teams in the Journal area will compete in sectionals on May 23-24 to qualify for the IHSA state finals on May 29-31 at Palatine High School — past champions have come from Maine West, Hersey, Stevenson, Palatine and Fremd.
