On April 7th at 8:46 p.m., police, firefighters and paramedics from Arlington Heights responded to a crash at Arlington Heights Road—Lillian Ave where a large pickup truck collided with a dark gray sedan, and at least two people were taken to Northwest Community Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries while traffic was diverted from the Town—Country shopping center entrance.

Nine families filed a lawsuit on April 16 alleging that Arlington Heights School District 25 and Westgate Elementary officials allowed nurse Tory Eitz to substitute non-prescription drugs for prescribed medication—actions that harmed students and spurred criminal charges against her.

Residents in Arlington Heights and nearby communities will hold 'Defend Democracy' rallies today to protest government changes that have led to federal layoffs and cuts in aid programs.
