Here's your local news at a glance for Thursday, the 17th of April.
Good morning, Arlington Heights.
🏘️ Community
Local caregivers assist seniors in Arlington Heights and nearby areas by providing daily personal care, medication help and companionship.
Their services—delivered by agencies such as Inspired Care Home Health and Right At Home—are increasingly in demand as the senior population grows.
🎓 Education
Good Neighbors Network has launched two scholarships for graduating seniors at Township High School Dist.
214 Specialized Schools — one for an International Newcomer Academy student and one for a Vanguard School student. Each recipient will receive a $1,000 award to help with college or trade school costs and will be named at graduation celebrations later this year.
📰 Real Estate
The Arlington 425 project at Campbell Street and Highland Avenue, designed by Jim Tinaglia for mixed use, has been canceled by developer Bruce Adreani due to delays with financing, COVID-19 issues, building materials, and underground utilities — village officials now look to a park featuring an ice skating rink and band shell for the site.
