The Cook County Board approved eligibility rules for a $15 million Homeowner Relief Fund to help homeowners whose tax bills have risen at least 50% since 2021 and who have a four-person household earning $119,900 or less qualify for a $1,000 payment — a measure to offer short-term support to those facing steep increases. The application website will open this summer.
